Organize, form and strengthen people’s organization
at the grass root level through participatory
process of planning, implementation,
monitoring and evaluation,
• Conscientize people of their rights and
duties.
• Encourage leadership qualities among the
marginalized and enable them participate in the
civil structures.

empower the poor and enable them to participate
in the life of the socio-economic
society.
• Inculcate the principles of social justice
in to the structures of the socio-economic, political,
and cultural life.
• Impart awareness concerning the social
evils affecting personal, familial, socio-economic,

• Work as a leaven exercising prophetic
role and building up the capacity of the weak
and marginalized sections of the society,
irrespective of caste creed or religion.
Hence PSSP initiates,
directs, monitors, and co-ordinates charitable
and social activities of the poor especially,
women, Children and the marginalized Sections.
• It undertakes, implements, and monitors
various developmental activities involving people’s
participation.
• It plans and facilitates integrated development
programmes in collaboration with governmental
and non-governmental agencies.
• It promotes various income generation
activities among women and other weaker sections
of the society.
• It provides skill training and thereby
encapacitates the unemployed towards professional
careers.
• It promotes Watershed Management projects
and sustainable development activities.
• It promotes thrift among people and assist
community based banking activities that enhances
rural development
• It promotes non-conventional energy based
technologies among the rural people
• It conducts scientific preparatory studies
in view of Village, Panchayat, Block, District
level integrated social empowerment projects.
• It renders technical assistance to other
institutions and civil authorities.
• Organises and imparts training to social
workers, animators and activists.
• Promotes organic farming, Kitchen garden,
bio-fertilisers, vermi compost etc-
• It trains and secures job opportunities
for unemployed girls through providing service
to the old and the sick.
• It supports family welfare programmes
by collaborating with SAFP regular beneficiaries
and project beneficiaries schemes.
::Jurisdiction::
The jurisdiction
of the society is extended to the entire diocese,
including the districts of Palakkad in Kerala,
and Coimbatore, Erode,and Karur, in Tamilnadu.
::Governing Body::
The Governing Body of PSSP consists of the President,
the Executive Secretary, and seven other members
elected from the General Body. The period of the
General Body as well as Governing Body is for
three years.

The
Governing Body meets minimum three times a year
and it deliberates and decides upon various programmes
and projects proposed by the working core team
consisting of the Secretary and Staff Members.
Mar. Jacob Manathodath, the Bishop of Palakkad,
the Patron of PSSP, graciously blesses us with
